Judge died about 1856 in Texas.⁽⁹⁾ Family stories say that Judge was hung for stealing horses, and that after he was hung it was realized that he was not the thief. The year of his death is estimated from tax records and Camely's second marriage.

He married Camelia Allred in Franklin County, Georgia, October 28, 1845.⁽¹⁰⁾ Camely was born in Georgia about 1826. Camely died before 1900 in Cooke County, TX.⁽¹¹⁾

Hunt. Catherine died February 27, 1923 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, at 91 years of age.⁽¹⁷⁾ Her body was interred in Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia, at Goolsby Family Cemetery.⁽¹⁸⁾

Emma was born in DeKalb County, Alabama May 1, 1860. Emma was the daughter of James Smith Shirley and Fannie Luvenia Hunter. Emma died April 4, 1910 in Tenaha, Panola County, Texas, at 49 years of age. Her body was interred in Tenaha, Panola County, Texas, at Woods Cemetery.

13 v. Drucilla E. Goolsby was born in Georgia August 1857. She married Charles A. Thomas in Georgia, about 1876. Kit was born in Georgia may 1851.

14 vi. William R. Goolsby was born in Georgia 1858. William died between 1860 and 1870 in Hart County, Georgia, at 2 years of age.⁽²⁰⁾

She married William C. Pruitt in Georgia, around 1855.⁽²⁵⁾ William was born in Georgia about 1834.⁽²⁶⁾ William died November 8, 1862 in Westminster, Frederick County, Virginia, at 28 years of age.⁽²⁷⁾ He died from disease.

Judge William⁴ Goolsby (Judge Anderson Pleasant³, Jeremiah², William¹) was born in Hall County, Georgia November 25, 1846.⁽³¹⁾ Judge died January 29, 1923 in Mineola, Wood County, Texas, at 76 years of age.⁽³²⁾ He died in the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Joseph Edward and Hattie Hasten. He died from arterio-sclerosis. His body was interred January 30, 1923 in Wood County, Texas, at Mt. Psigah Cemetery.⁽³³⁾

He married twice. He married Martha Jane Bearden in Texas, about 1867.⁽³⁴⁾ Martha was born in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia September 1, 1854.⁽³⁵⁾ Martha was the daughter of Simon W. Bearden and Martha Clark. Martha died December 5, 1911 in Wood County, Texas, at 57 years of age.⁽³⁶⁾ Her body was interred in Wood County, Texas, at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.⁽³⁷⁾ He married Nancy Jane Magee in Wood County, Texas, January 8, 1914.⁽³⁸⁾ Nancy was born in Clay County, Arkansas April 16, 1861. Nancy died before 1923.

Goolsby was born in Wood County, Texas October 15, 1888.⁽⁴³⁾ Carrie died July 10, 1978 in Smith County, Texas, at 89 years of age.⁽⁴⁴⁾ Her body was interred in Lindale, Smith County, Texas, at Harris Chapel Cemetery.⁽⁴⁵⁾ She married William Elmer Thorne in Smith County, Texas, May 16, 1945.⁽⁴⁶⁾ They had no children. William was born in Texas April 6, 1896.⁽⁴⁷⁾ William died April 24, 1972 in Lindale, Smith County, Texas, at 76 years of age.⁽⁴⁸⁾ His body was interred in Lindale, Smith County, Texas, at Harris Chapel Cemetery.⁽⁴⁹⁾

7. Emeline Caroline⁴ Goolsby (Judge Anderson Pleasant³, Jeremiah², William¹) was born in Hall County, Georgia about 1848.

She married Charles R. Lindsey in Texas, around 1866. Charles was born in Mississippi about 1842. Charles was the son of Thomas R. Lindsey and Jane --?--.

8. Jeremiah Marr⁴ Goolsby (Judge Anderson Pleasant³, Jeremiah², William¹) was born in Wood County, Texas January 25, 1856. Jeremiah died November 29, 1931 in Silver Lake Community, Van Zandt County, Texas, at 75 years of age. He died in the home of his daughter, Lula (Goolsby) Prestidge. Not long before his death, he was visiting his daughter, Eula Marshall, when she was living in Sunset, Texas. He told her of a vision he had about his funeral. He told her that they would carry his casket to the cemetery on a wagon and all of the grandchildren would sit on it for the trip except for her son, Aubrey. He told her who all would be there and what would happen. He also told her he wouldn't really be dead when he was buried, but not to do anything because that was just the way things were to be. Eula had forgotten about this until after the funeral, but then she realized his description of the funeral was accurate and Aubrey didn't ride on the wagon with the other grandchildren. His body was interred in Van Zandt County, Texas, at Prairie Springs Cemetery.

He married four times. He married Mary Margret Turner in Cooke County, TX, November 29, 1874.⁽⁵⁰⁾ Mary was born in Cooke County, TX May 3, 1857.⁽⁵¹⁾ Mary was the daughter of George William Turner and Sarah Frances Goodnight. Mary died January 28, 1897 in Cooke County, TX, at 39 years of age. The location of her grave is unknown. The last persons to know the exact site were her son, Willis Goolsby, and his son, John Robert Goolsby, but they never recorded the site. It is known that the grave is unmarked and is just off the highway between Gainesville and Whitesboro. The cemetery at Whitesboro fits the description and since she and her husband lived near Whitesboro, it is likely she is buried there.

He married Mary L. Parsons in Cooke County, TX, September 2, 1897.⁽⁵²⁾ He married Judia F. --?-- in Cooke County, TX, November 1, 1900.⁽⁵³⁾ He married Mamie Lee Coomer in Cooke County, TX, December 2, 1914.⁽⁵⁴⁾

No other information about the mismatch between Elmer's birthdate and the marriage date of his parents was ever exchanged in the family. Elmer died July 24, 1963 in Texas, at 68 years of age. Born Feb. 1 1903 in Ninnekah, Okla, Flowers lived in Wichita Falls since 1920. He was a guard at Panhandle Refinery and a street car motorman during the 1920's.

Survivors include a son, Zearl Gilbreath, Jr. and his wife, Bobbie of Iowa Park; a brother, Aubrey Marshall and his wife, Vera of Long Beach, Calif.; a sister, Bessie Young of Wichita Falls; four grandchildren, Zearl Gilbreath III and his wife, Sherrie, Malinda Calhoun and her husband, Terry, Tommy Gilbreath and his wife, Robi, and Daniel Gilbreath; ten great-grandchildren, Mandi Hughes and her husband, Jason, Kent Mills, Crystal Dodge and her husband, Mike, Kurtis Gilbreath, Dawn Gilbreath, Brian Calhoun, John Calhoun, Tommy Gilbreath, Jr., Nichole Fields and Mark Payne; and two great-great-grandchildren, Madison Dodge and Devon Gilbreath.

She married Zearl Gilbreath in Grandfield, Tillman County, Oklahoma, December 28, 1931.⁽²⁶¹⁾ Zearl was born in Mangum, Greer County, Oklahoma April 10, 1909. Zearl was the son of Bluford Belmont Gilbreath and Abigail Gertrude Veach. Zearl died April 28, 1984 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at 75 years of age. His body was interred in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at Crestview Memorial Park.

38. Jerry Willis⁵ Goolsby (Jeremiah Marr⁴, Judge Anderson Pleasant³, Jeremiah², William¹) was born in Cooke County, TX January 16, 1893. Willis died June 22, 1971 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at 78 years of age. His body was interred June 24, 1971 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.

He married Frances Eugenia Dozier in Cooke County, TX, September 29, 1914.⁽²⁶²⁾ Fannie was born October 24, 1894. Fannie died April 14, 1976 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at 81 years of age. Her body was interred April 16, 1976 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.

Jerry Willis Goolsby and Frances Eugenia Dozier had the following family:

123 i. Waylon Alford⁶ Goolsby was born in Montague County, Texas June 28, 1918. He was born near the community of Ringgold. Waylon died June 2, 2003 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at 84 years of age.⁽²⁶³⁾ His body was interred June 4, 2003 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at Resthaven Memorial Park.⁽²⁶⁴⁾

124 ii. John Robert Goolsby was born in Montague County, Texas February 23, 1921. John died at University Medical Center January 8, 1999 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at 77 years of age.⁽²⁶⁵⁾ He had been a life member of the V.F.W. Post 2466 since 1946, and he was a member of the International Association of Turtles Inc., the Military Order of the Cootie and a member of the American Legion. His body was interred January 11, 1999 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at Resthaven Memorial Park.⁽²⁶⁶⁾ John recieved military graveside services with John Servison, chaplain of V.F.W. Post 2466, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
He married twice.
He married Wanda Inez Russell in Meadow, Terry County, Texas, June 19, 1976. Wanda was born April 27, 1924. He married Florida F. Golden in Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico, 1980.⁽²⁶⁷⁾ Florida was born January 7, 1921. Florida died December 4, 1993 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at 72 years of age.⁽²⁶⁸⁾

Vera Ruth Goolsby was born in Montague County, Texas April 29, 1924.⁽²⁶⁹⁾ Vera died February 22, 2004 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at 79 years of age.⁽²⁷⁰⁾ Her body was interred February 25, 2004 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at Resthaven Memorial Park.⁽²⁷¹⁾ She married twice. She married Earl William Kroll before 1949. Earl was born January 4, 1919. She married Barnie Dunlap in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, June 19, 1949.⁽²⁷²⁾ Barnie was born December 2, 1924. Barnie died August 12, 1999 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at 74 years of age. His body was interred in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at Resthaven Memorial Park.
